What is Myofascial Release Therapy?
There are three legs to MFR - Structural work, Rebounding and Unwinding. Structural work uses light sustained pressure to engage the barrier holding for 3-5 minutes following the barrier to allow the system to reset - opening your own self healing mechanism. If severe restrictions exist cross friction massage may be necessary but is enhanced greatly when followed up with the light structural work. Rebounding is the application of a rhythmic wave to engage the fluid component of the body. It is used to asses where restrictions exist as well as to release them. Unwinding is when you reach a connection deeply enough that you take over spontaneously moving as you need. MFR addresses the entirety of your Being - Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual.
